This movie steers two strong feelings in me: Extreme hunger (Seriously, its all about cooking delish plates) and starting a successful business, like right this second.
In short, its about a Head Chef of a fancy LA restaurant who quits his job after a super harsh food critic bashes him online, he loses everything and then buys a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative skills. The entire movie is upbeat with great soundtracks, and leaves you feeling like you can conquer the world.
Talk about #GirlBoss! Joy is a woman who was forced to put aside her creative/builder skills to take care and provide for her entire family (Including her ex husband who lives in her basement). She then rose to become one of the most powerful owners of a family dyansty.
What I love about this movie is that they show you how hard and tough she has been hit over and over and over again and how she managed to rise above all eventually. #ThatsGirlPower
Julie & Julia
If your dream is starting a successful blog or a website, this movie is definitely for you. Julie Powell who finds inspiration through an unlikely source (Julia Child’s “Mastering the Art of Cooking” book) and ends up getting a new lease at life.
There’s a saying which states that the thing you’re doing when you should be working, is perhaps what you should be pursuing for a living, and this story is proof of that.
The Pursuit of Happyness
An inspiring story of Chris Gardner and his rags-to-riches story of his rise from homelessness to becoming a CEO of his own stock brokerage firm. The determination of this guy will ultimately show you that sometimes you really need to hit rock-bottom in order to rise.
