Restaurant Review: The Tap House’s Brunch by the Beach

Living in the land of sun certainly has its year-round perks, but when mercury starts soaring, a lot are stuck for choice of hangout and dining spots that does not include the mall. That’s why this summer, we are reviewing and bringing you the coolest spots to try this season.

We recently tried The Tap House’s Friday Brunch, the modern European eatery and bar with a touch good ol’ American comfort favorites. The cool industrial interiors, chilled ambience and relaxed beach terrace makes this a perfect hangout for everyone.

Their brunch on the beach is definitely one that you shouldn’t miss this season. What brunchers will be offered is a scaled-down version of the gastropub’s menu, providing you with some hearty food in a relaxed setting. With an incredible offer which includes 5 drinks, (YES, 5!) Together with a sharing platter of 3 appetizers, one main course (all incredibly yummy) and an impressive spread of dessert, I think you are set for an afternoon of fun, sun, yummy food & drinks.

Here is a glimpse of what you will experience.

The Vibe

We arrived at 1 PM and took a prime spot close enough to overlook the gorgeous beach views but far enough to not experience the heat of the noon. It was still not so busy which was perfect but by 3 PM the place was buzzing with the expected Friday brunch vibes. The place has a cool marine-themed interiors and great beats which immediately puts you in a relaxed and a happy weekend mood.

The friendly staff was so accommodative, fast and helpful and our drinks appeared within minutes.

What makes it even more perfect is that you get a free access to the beach, would be best suitable for cooler months though..

The Food

With the brunch offer, you get a 3-course menu with very decent quantities.

We started off with the appetizer sharing platter which includes the Chicken wings, fried calamari together with parmesan truffle fries (this one was definitely a winner).

For the main course, we went for the Tap House Burger (So juicy and grilled to perfection) together with the Pasta (Penne alla puttanesca) which is arguably one of the best we tried recently.

By the time we got to dessert, we were full but it was beyond yummy that we just had to try. The yummy creme brulee certainly spoke for the well-crafted menu and the macaroons were crispy on the outside, melting on the inside much to the enjoyment of our mouths and tummies.
