In New Orleans, a réveillon is a long dinner held on the evenings preceding Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The name of this dinner is based on the word réveil (meaning "waking"), because participation involves staying awake until midnight and beyond.

In true Nola fashion, the JLT-based piece of New Orleans is offering a compelling réveillon menu during December which includes 4 dishes (A starter, two mains and desert) and we just spent the most amazing evening indulging in it. Here is why you need to try it too.

A Festive Menu with a twist

I absolutely loved that it was festive yet non-traditional. It included everything that I wouldn't normally have anywhere else and that is unique to Nola, yet also had a taste of Christmas with the Turkey and traditional signature stuffing.

The food is out of this world

I tried the four dishes on the menu and I have to say I was blown away with every single bite. I'm pretty picky when it comes to food and especially for dishes I haven't tried before, but this menu was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection with superb ingredients.

The Scallops with braised Ox Tail was a huge winner. Followed by the Turkey with Nola's signature stuffing and the veal coated with vanilla and hazelnut crust just screams perfection in every bite. To finish it off we had the Caramelized chocolate and & vanilla custard on a buttered cookie that makes you want to curl up next to a fireplace and savor all the warm flavors.

A huge plus were the cocktails, I went for the Big Easy and it was just perfect.

The vibes are the coolest

The New Orleans, speakeasy theme is just incredible. The vibes here are so unique to this venue and you feel it in every thing from the attire of bartenders and staff, to the interiors, to the Jazz-y music and lighting. Everything transports you back to a different place and a different era and will instantly put you in a "Feel Good" mood especially after a long week.
