Dubai Brunch Review: Dusty's Departure Brunch
A Dubai Brunch is a staple in the weekend calendars of the city's residents and visitors alike. Afterall, its one of those unique experiences you just HAVE to try. With so many brunches around though, how can you choose the right one? You try loads of them!
We recently tried Dusty's ‘Departures Brunch’ in DIFC, in AlFattan Currency House. The experience is definitely one of a kind to Dubai’s brunch scene and
starts from the minute you receive your "boarding pass" via email after your reservation is confirmed.
HERE IS A GLIMPSE OF WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE.
The brunch theme is felt from the minute you arrive to the door. We were asked for the boarding pass to 'check-in' on arrival and we even passed through the security scanners and are greeted by the cheerful Dusty’s staff who are all dressed as a cabin crew.
My Favorite part was the music, the DJ tunes were a mix of 1990's/early 2000's dance songs favorite and it truly puts you in such a cheerful and happy mood from the first minute.
Once you come in, you can choose one from of three options available; First, Business or Economy Class packages. We went for the all-inclusive (First Class) deal of AED499 which includes food, unlimited house beverages and unlimited flow of bubbly. The dishes are
taken from Dusty’s a la Carte menu, and served in airline-sized portions.
I have to say, this was by far the yummiest food I have experienced in a while. Everything is cooked to perfection and the variety is filled with some classics, and some comfort food goodness. Think Mini burgers, Risotto, Steak and Sides all on one go! We also felt that the value was really good for the dishes they had, given that most of them are ranging between 80-130 AED if ordered A La Carte on a regular evening.
For the starters, We went for the burger sliders (which we ordered twice since it was sooooooo good!), Rock Shrimp tempura, and the lobster tacos.
For the mains, we went crazy! We got the Mushroom risotto and the Arrabiata, and we got the fillet steak with the truffle Parmesan fries.
For the desserts, we finished off with a blast! The "Candy Station" which has everything from marshmallow, to cake pops, macaroons and more.
I absolutely loved the small portion size which allowed us to try almost everything we wanted without "overeating", but we were also in LOVE with the food that left us longing for more even towards the end. Everything was cooked right, tastes blended well together and we both walked away thinking this was probably the best food we've had in a long time.

The staff was extremely friendly and was quick to advice on the house favorites. They were quick and knowledgeable which I know can sometimes be hard to find in DXB.
After about an hour, we got a friendly cabin crew who was passing by with the cart to play some games and win any shot of your selection!
Towards the end, Dusty’s brunch quickly turned into a full-on afternoon party with the DJ spinning those great old school mixes and there is also live saxophone sass to experience! #Perfection
With great vibes, excellent services, lovely food and the unlimited Prosecco fix, we certainly walked away with a huge smile on our faces. And for that we will definitely return.
